Mollie F. holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a concentration in Music Technology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her primary instrument of study was voice, with a secondary focus on piano. Throughout her time at UAB, Mollie was actively involved in a variety of musical ensembles, including the university’s top concert choir—where she served as soprano section leader—as well as the gospel choir, commercial music ensemble, and jazz combos. Her broad involvement reflects a deep commitment to mastering diverse musical styles.
Mollie’s love for music began in early childhood, as soon as she could sing or get her hands on an instrument. Her formative years were filled with music competitions, musical theater, lessons, and the exploration of various instruments—all of which laid the foundation for her passion for performing and sharing music with others.
Since graduating, Mollie has channeled that passion into a fulfilling career as both a music educator and recording artist. She enjoys working across genres and is especially celebrated for her musical theater and contemporary performances, often noted for her soulful tone and jazz-influenced style. You can hear her featured as the vocalist on the song “It’s” by Douglas Ray Jaffe.
Beyond music, Mollie has a strong background in childcare, which continues to bring her great joy. She also enjoys cooking with her husband, learning about science and health, dancing, theater, and all forms of art.
Mollie is honored to inspire and guide the next generation of musicians and takes great pride in sharing the joy of music-making with her students.
