John St. Julian II, a professional trumpet player, has performed with a wide range of prestigious and dynamic musical groups, including the Texas Renaissance Festival Brass Ensemble, The Woodlands Symphony, the local Latin group Grupo Latitude, The MoTown Tribute Band, the Houston Texans Deep Steel Thunder Band, and the high-energy wedding band Jordan Khan Music Company.
He studied under world-class musicians such as Mark Hughes of the Houston Symphony, Jim Vassallo of the Houston Grand Opera, and Noe Marmolejo, director of the University of Houston Jazz Orchestra.
In addition to his performance career, Mr. St. Julian has dedicated himself to music education, teaching for eight years in Aldine ISD and Houston ISD, specializing in choir and Orff ensembles. He has also served for eight years as a music teacher at the main corps of The Salvation Army in Houston on Cook Road, where he leads the brass ensemble and offers private lessons in brass and piano.
Classically trained, Mr. St. Julian brings a unique versatility to his music, with experience across genres including jazz, Latin, soul, R&B, and pop. His dedication to musical excellence and education continues to inspire both students and audiences alike.
