Ryan F

Ryan

Ryan F is a multifaceted artist, excelling as a vocalist, music theorist, keyboard player, and performer, with a diverse musical journey spanning over 15 years. His exposure to the world of music began around Nashville recording artist Brian Keith & Heartland, which fostered a deep appreciation for various musical forms, global styles, and niche genres.

Starting with guitar at 16, Ryan joined the St. Hyacinth Contemporary Guitar Choir, refining his guitar skills, developing a sharp reading ability, and honing his proficiency in both guitar and vocal ensemble performance. His talents led him to become the Band Leader of the group by the age of 21, a role where he not only played keyboard but also acquired valuable leadership skills.

Ryan’s journey in music extended to musical theater, where he embraced dancing in ensembles choreographed by Ryan Baker, exposing him to jazz and acrobatic dance styles. This stage experience ignited his passion for live performance, driving his interest in pursuing a music degree. He pursued his studies at San Jacinto College, Texas State University, and the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance under Dr. Brady Knapp, Ryan’s ambition extends to achieving a Master’s Degree and pursuing a career in music academia.

His teaching philosophy revolves around systematic practice routines, consistency, and maintaining an active lifestyle, all crucial aspects for a musician. He views music as a rhythmic game, a perspective that alleviates performance anxiety. Emphasizing both the mental and physical aspects of music-making, he believes in deriving enjoyment from music while comprehending the tools required for musical expression.

Ryan’s performance history equips him with firsthand insight into the dynamics of live-stage performances. His passion extends to recording technology, sound design, and digital production, embracing a wide spectrum of sound creation. He acknowledges the interconnectedness of various musical aspects and encourages a holistic approach to learning.

Ryan contributes his vocal talents to Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church as a Staff Singer under Dr. Brady Knapp. His performances can be enjoyed on the church’s livestream every Sunday. Joining the team at Vivaldi Music Academy, he aims to ignite a similar passion for music in others, inspired by the enthusiasm that fuels his own musical journey.
