Rebecca Heath is an experienced professional singer and teacher with extensive opera and choral training. An Australian-American, Heath began her professional singing career early, discovered at age 10 on a call-in Australian radio show, which led to a music video produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Her childhood experiences as a singer have honed her passion for early music education. Heath has since performed leading soprano roles with opera companies throughout the United States and also as a soloist in concerts and with professional choirs, including the Houston Chamber Choir.
Heath has a Master of Music degree from the University of Houston, a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a voice graduate from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston. She currently directs several children’s choirs at different schools in the Houston area, as well as private voice and piano lessons for all ages, including advanced classical singing, vocal technique, lyric diction, and textual/dramatic/musical interpretation.
Heath is excited to offer voice and piano lessons at Vivaldi Music Academy and is looking forward to helping her students reach their musical goals. Although primarily a classical teacher, she is comfortable teaching any genre of music.
