My name is Raul Colmenero and I am a violin player and teacher with many years of experience teaching young musicians developing their skills. I was born in 1992 in Spain, where I started playing the violin at the early age of 5 and after years of practicing it became my biggest passion and I decided I could not be something different than a musician. I started my Graduate degree at my home town and I finished it in the Netherlands, where I stayed some more years just to improve my skills in such a challenging environment.
After those years, I came back to Spain to obtain my Master’s degree in Musical investigation while I kept improving as a performer with one of the best violin players in Spain (Vicente Huerta). It was during these years when I was able to live as I always pictured myself: developing my own studio of particular students while staying active as a performer with great orchestras.
The pandemic changed everyone’s life and I am no exception, but it gave me the chance to move to the US to get another Master’s degree, this time in Performance, and get to know a bit better the United States. Nowadays I am studying with Dr. Yon at the University of Houston and I would love to keep teaching violin to the new generations as I have been doing since I started my first degree
