As an educator, her goal is to help students become independent learners and problem-solvers while discovering their unique artistic voices. She teaches students of all ages, from 3 to 35, and strives to help them understand how music can connect people and be a deeply rewarding form of expression.
Porsche approaches each lesson with the intent to help students unlock the meaning and message of any musical piece. For her, teaching and learning are rooted in exploration, inquiry, and experimentation. She is dedicated to sparking a student’s imagination and musical understanding, and she finds joy in watching their ideas evolve, guiding them through each step of their journey.
She is consistently inspired by the opportunity to share her knowledge with new students and witness their growth and the positive impact music has on their lives.
Porsche teaches a wide range of genres, including classical, jazz, pop, rock, and country, while incorporating vocal techniques such as ear training, sight reading, and improvisation. Throughout their musical journey, her students are supported with patience, positive reinforcement, motivation, and kindness, all within a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
