Nehemiah Hughes is a performing guitarist and songwriter from Houston, TX. He studied under John Keifer at College of The Mainland in Texas City, Texas, where he pursued Guitar Studies and Performance.
His collected musical influences include Alex Lifeson from Rush, Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin, Wes Montgomery, and Guthrie Govan, inspiring his own creative work with their recordings and performances. Nehemiah performs with a local progressive-rock band for audiences around the city, and continues to write and record music in addition to teaching Houston guitar lessons to students of all ages and levels.
Nehemiah enjoys working with beginners to advanced students in acoustic and electric guitar, as well as bass, to prepare students to play a variety of genres from jazz to classical to rock. Many students take lessons as a hobby, while others produce and compose their own works and continue to pursue careers in music. Nehemiah is excited to share the power of music with his students at Vivaldi Music Academy.
