Marina is a talented cellist and dedicated educator from La Vall d’Uixó, Spain. From a young age, she has been actively involved in various symphonic bands in her region, performing concerts across Spain, Italy, Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, and the Dominican Republic.
Upon her arrival in the United States, Marina quickly became a prominent musician, regularly performing with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, Panama City Symphony Orchestra, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and Mobile Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, she was awarded first place in the Southeastern Concerto Competition, where she showcased her skills as a soloist by performing Haydn’s C Major Cello Concerto with the Southeastern Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Marina is passionate about chamber music and has collaborated with projects such as Discovery Music and various chamber music series in Florida.
As a music educator with over six years of experience, Marina teaches students of all ages, from kindergarten through adult levels. She has taught at institutions such as the Centro Instructivo de Arte y Cultura de La Vall d’Uixó in Spain, Southeastern Community Music School in Louisiana, and Thomasville Academy of the Arts in Florida. Marina holds a Master’s degree in Cello Performance from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance with a minor in Spanish Studies from Southeastern Louisiana University. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Houston.
Marina’s enthusiasm for music and her commitment to her students make her an exceptional teacher. Her ability to inspire and cultivate a love for music in her students sets her apart as an educator dedicated to fostering talent and creativity.
