Marco H is a dedicated violinist and educator currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Violin Performance at the Moores School of Music, University of Houston, under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Kirsten Yon. His musical expertise is anchored in a comprehensive background in Violin Performance, with significant accomplishments from his undergraduate studies in Colombia and graduate studies at Sam Houston State University.
In his role as a Teaching Assistant at the Moores School of Music, Marco instructs college-level music theory and contributes to the academic development of aspiring musicians. He also brings valuable experience from teaching young students through programs such as the Huntsville Youth Orchestra and El Sistema Texas. Known for his ability to harmonize technical precision with artistic expression, Marco consistently delivers engaging and impactful performances.
His accolades include winning 1st Prize in the Strings, Winds, and Percussion Division at the prestigious Concerto Competition at Sam Houston State University in 2022. Furthermore, he received an Honorific Mention for his undergraduate recital from the Universidad de Antioquia in 2017, underscoring his exceptional commitment to Violin Performance.
