Eddie Y started piano lessons at the age of 5 with Olga Belan in Austin, Texas. He participated in numerous ADMTA festivals and competitions throughout his childhood. He received the outstanding performer title in the 2016 UIL solo and ensemble competition. Some notable figures he received lessons and masterclasses from festivals in the US and Italy are Alexander Kobrin, Enrico Elisi, Washington Garcia, and many more.
Eddie has also had a passion for the violin since he was a child. His love for the violin grew as the years went by and still perfected his skill through college. Eddie has had the opportunities to perform in orchestras and chambers throughout his violin studies. His goal is for his students to incorporate the same love for music as he has also developed with the violin. His favorite piece is Wieniawsky: Capriccio-Valse.
Eddie received his Bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Stephen F. Austin State University where he was taught by Dr. Andrew Parr. He is currently working on his master’s degree at the University of Houston with Dr. Tali Morgulis.
Eddie enjoys spreading his passion for music to others. Great with both kids and adults. He strives to keep the lessons fun and enjoyable while teaching proper technique and musical expression.
