Chris V

Chris Vasquez – Guitar Lessons

Chris V, a native Houstonian is a producer, guitarist, pianist, bassist, percussionist, and graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts with a dual Bachelor’s in Contemporary Writing and Production as well as Professional music. Chris studied Production, Arranging, Performance, and Business before receiving an award for Professional Music Achievement in 2019 and graduating with honors.

As a musician and performer, Chris enjoys composing in various genres of music such as Latin, Blues, Jazz, Rock, RnB, and Hip Hop. He primarily uses piano, classical guitar, and electric guitar to write and perform. During his studies at Berklee College of Music, Chris composed various arrangements influenced by his studies in Boston and had the privilege to study World Percussion and explore Indian rhythmic solfege. He is an active member of the Society of Composers, Film Score Network, and Berklee Music Business Club.

As a teacher, Chris shares his influence of world music with his students and helps them find their passion for music in genre and technique. The musicians he is most influenced by are: B.B. King, Frank Gambale, Chick Corea, Slash, Randy Rhoads, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dimebag Darrell, John Williams (Guitarist), Santana, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Big KRIT, UGK, J. Cole, Steve Lukather, Wayne Shorter, Thelonius Monk, Marcus Miller, and Victor Wooten.

Chris is a passionate music teacher and musician who helps guide his students to love music as a whole and find ways to appreciate various genres. He is looking forward to being a faculty member at Vivaldi Music Academy to mentor students to perform in Houston, prepare for competitions or simply find joy in music. His goals are to spread the knowledge he has acquired and open the possibilities of understanding music as a language rather than use the exhausted pedestals put forth from years past to teach and inspire.
