Charlie Trejo is a classical pianist and performer with over 20 years of training in classical music and theory. He received his Bachelors of Music in Professional Music on scholarship from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, with a focus on piano performance and composition. His studies ranged from classical to jazz performance, classical composition, contemporary songwriting and lyric writing, and classical and jazz theory.
Charlie’s experiences in his own journey through music are central to his approach to teaching. He contends that to get the best out of music one must bring the best out of the student, fostering a love of the art through passion, patience, and encouragement. Music has been a lifelong joy for Charlie that began at the age of 4. After a lifetime of studying and competing and growing in music he hopes to share that joy to help create the same love, enthusiasm, and passion for music in all his students.
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” -Plato
