Cesar is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and composer from Havana, Cuba. He began his musical journey at age eight, studying the cello, and graduated as a professional musician at 22. While his roots are in classical music, Cesar explores a broad spectrum of genres, including jazz, folk, rock, pop, Afro-Cuban, blues, hip-hop, world music, and experimental sounds.
As the cellist and guitarist for renowned Cuban artist Pedro Luis Ferrer, Cesar gained invaluable experience in both performance and composition under Ferrer’s mentorship. His career has taken him to stages across Cuba, the United States, Brazil, Peru, and Ecuador, where he has earned a reputation for his versatility and creative approach to music.
In addition to his performance career, Cesar is a passionate educator. He integrates his love for both music and theater to teach students how to perform with expression, confidence, and authenticity. His teaching method emphasizes creativity, using games and experimentation to help students unlock their full potential and bring musical pieces to life.
As an artist, Cesar has released a solo album and an EP under the name Sarce, showcasing his skill in crafting compelling narratives and theatrical compositions. In 2023, he relocated to New York, where he collaborated with Ideal Glass Studios as the cellist for the Ideal Glass Orchestra.
Now based in Houston, Cesar is eager to connect with new musicians, collaborate on exciting projects, and continue sharing his music with the world while inspiring others through his teaching and performances.
