Anna Elle H, being an active child, was given the opportunity at the age of 5 to begin piano! It gave her the freedom to compose her own songs and she loved changing already written music into her own rendition. She started pursuing a professional piano performance career after being offered a spot to perform with the Houston Young Artist and studied under Scott Holshouser, a principal keyboardist, staff pianist with the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera, and accompanist with the Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition. Studied from Rice University in Piano Performance.
Under the guidance of Scott, she won the Houston Symphony League Concerto Competition which earned her a performance with the Houston Symphony Orchestra and was offered to have her winning performance“Chopin Concerto No. 1” played on the Classical Music Radio. She was later invited and auditioned at the Juilliard School of Music and Curtis Music Institute showcasing her own unique “Anna” style (which she finds extremely hilarious people call it that). Being offered a full scholarship at The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, she studied under Dr.Robert Roux who guided her on perfecting performance and technical skills.
As someone who developed an overwhelming passion for producing and composing music, it wouldn’t be too surprising if she starts playing a rendition of a BTS song!
Anna’s passion is to embolden students with new confidence, uniqueness with great performance and music theory training for all ages to help her students blossom into their own creative selves!
