Adam began playing guitar at the age of 13 in middle school. During the first few years, he studied under several guitar instructors in Houston, quickly transforming his hobby into a dedicated and lifelong passion for performance and mastery. In high school, he formed a band with his peers, which went on to win four Battle of the Bands competitions. The band performed over 100 shows and recorded a collection of songs at some of Houston’s premier studios. These early professional experiences allowed the band to perform at renowned venues such as House of Blues, Warehouse Live, and Summerfest.
Realizing that music would be his profession, Adam pursued a degree in audio engineering at MediaTech Int., where he refined his skills in recording, mixing, and mastering. During college, he also explored playing drums and bass in various music groups, expanding his musical versatility and deepening his understanding of song composition. Adam later formed a new band, where he continues to serve as the guitarist and lead vocalist, performing professionally to this day. With the broad musical foundation he developed at MediaTech, Adam began teaching students of all ages, fostering a passion for music and encouraging students to create and share their own compositions. Many of his students have gone on to become skilled guitarists, bassists, and drummers, forming their own bands and pursuing their musical ambitions.
Adam’s teaching approach is grounded in patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for music. He fosters a supportive and encouraging environment, allowing each student to learn and develop at their own pace. Understanding the excitement of playing an instrument for the first time, Adam ensures that every lesson provides students with tangible skills, musical theory, or a new song to add to their repertoire. Each lesson builds upon the last, creating a strong foundation that will inspire a lifelong passion for music.
