Experience the Vivaldi Difference with performance opportunities
Vivaldi Music Academy provides numerous performance opportunities for our students in the Houston area including two academy recitals per year. Performance participation is encouraged to build student confidence and install the value of goal-setting and achievement. From our on-stage performance with the Piano Guys at Revention Music Center, our debut in 2015 and encore performance in 2018 at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City, to the Santa Maria della Pieta (Vivaldi's Church) in Venice, Italy and The John F Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington D.C., our students have performed on renowned national and international stages.
Students and faculty arrived on June 23rd for a recital of a lifetime by water bus (vaporetto), water taxi, train and on foot through the canals and streets of Venice at the Santa Maria della Pieta (Vivaldi’s church). The Pieta hosted a gathering of family and friends to celebrate an early evening of music, music education and our namesake Antonio Vivaldi. Tourists and locals joined the audience to enjoy our students’ performances along with faculty performances that included pieces from an Italian favorite, Cinema Paradiso.
How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice! We are so excited for our upcoming Carnegie Hall Debut on Saturday, June 27th! Vivaldi students, staff and faculty will be headed to the Big Apple for a once in a life time opportunity at the historic concert venue. Students performing at the Carnegie Hall should look out for a detailed email with specific instructions for photography, stage directions, tickets, and other information about the upcoming trip. For students participating in the Vivaldi Strings Ensemble, please see the schedule below. Share your New York City experience on social media with #VivaldiGoesToCarnegie. Happy practicing!
