Faculty Recording Policy

Faculty Recording Policy for Zoom Video Conferencing (Zoom)

These are difficult times and we appreciate your working with us to continue providing lessons to our students.  We value the health and safety of our professionals and our students.  To that end, as we have previously advised and you are aware, Vivaldi Music Academy (VMA) has been administering music lessons and classes via Zoom Video Conferencing (Zoom) since March 12th 2020 in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the stay at home orders issued by Harris County and the City of Houston, and social distancing requirements.

VMA is the primary license holder of all Zoom accounts utilized by staff and faculty for scheduled lessons, classes and meetings. Zoom is the only VMA authorized video conferencing solution for providing lessons, classes, and meetings. Faculty and staff will be assigned a username and password by VMA to access Zoom. VMA reserves the right to change information such as password, username, meeting schedule and permissions. The username and passwords are owned by VMA and will be monitored by administrative staff. Personal use of the assigned username is not permitted.

As a security measure, all lessons, classes, and meetings will be recorded and uploaded to the Zoom Video Conferencing cloud. You agree to only conduct a lesson, class, or meeting after activating and/or consenting to recording thereof. You further agree to implement additional security measures as they become available, including but not limited to the use of “waiting room” and meeting passwords for every lesson, class, or meeting. All recordings stored in the VMA Zoom cloud subscription are the exclusive property of VMA and local recording or duplication of such is strictly prohibited. Recordings may be reviewed by administrative staff for security and quality assurance.
